Some parents have been having problems when trying to access the Parent Portal (https://parents.dbis.edu.hk) on their mobile phones through Safari or Android. The browser gives them a 500 message like the one below.
We have been in touch with the developer, iSAMS, about the 500 error message and they tell us that they do not officially support mobile browsers for the web version of the Parent Portal - only computer browsers.
We think it has been pure happenchance that the system has worked up to now on Safari and Android.
Saying that, we have found that it is still possible to use the Chrome browser on a phone to access the https://parents.dbis.edu.hk site for the time being.
iSAMS however recommend that parents use the iParent App on mobiles rather than the web version. It has all of the features of the web browser except for the front landing page. It can be downloaded for free from the Apple Store or Google Play.
