The school sends an email to new parents containing a registration code and password to create an account on the Parent Portal System for the first time after the office receive confirmation that the school levy has been paid.

The letter also contains logon instructions which are also detailed below.  Please note it is possible to create more than one account (e.g. an account for each parent) using the same code.

How to Create a Parent Portal Account

New parents need to click on the "Create an account" link in the top right hand corner to set up your account for the first time.




This will take the user to another pop-up box where the portal access code (8 digit number) and password (10 letter code) found in the letter should be entered:



The user's personal details should then be entered in the box below.  

Please note passwords must be as follows:

  1. At least 12 characters long.
  2. Must contain 3 of the 4 character types: 
    • English uppercase characters (A-Z), 
    • English lowercase characters (a-z), 
    • Numeric characters (0-9), 
    • Non-alphanumeric character (!, $, %, #).





After successful registration, the following message will appear at the top of the box:



Account activation email has been sent.



Check your email for the account activation email. (Please be aware that it might have been routed to your spam box.)   The sender name will be "isamsrobot" (email: [email protected]) and the title of the email will be "Parent Portal - Account Activation".


Click on the link "Verify your E-Mail address" to complete the registration.


This will take you to the following account activation confirmation page:


Click the blue link "here"  to login.


You will be presented with the login page again but this time enter your email address and newly created password in the grey boxes:

 


You will then be asked to add a security question.


After entering your security question you will be taken to the Parent Portal front page.


There is also an iSAMS app for the Parent Portal (iParent) available on both the Apple and Android stores.  The access code for the school is "DBIS" and it uses the same Parent Portal login as the web version.
